Pierre Salvadori opens the 79th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, which takes place from May 12 to 23, with his Franco-Belgian co-production The Electric Kiss, starring Pio Marmaï, Anaïs Demoustier, Gilles Lellouche, and Vimala Pons. Salvadori wrote the screenplay for his eleventh feature film together with Benoît Graffin and Benjamin Charbit, in which the story is set in early twentieth-century Paris and revolves around a painter who seeks contact with his deceased wife through a medium. The film, produced by Les Films Pelléas in co-production with France 2 Cinéma and Versus Production, is being released in France by Diaphana, while Goodfellas handles international sales.
