During the Ostend Film Festival, the Flemish Audiovisual Fund (VAF) and the Department of Culture, Youth and Media (CJM) discussed alternative film financing. The event, opened by Peter Craeymeersch and Bart Temmerman, focused on international opportunities and financing challenges for the Flemish film sector. Karla Puttemans of the VAF emphasized the need to adapt to the rapidly changing sector. European financing options and new programs such as AgoraEU were discussed. Juliane Schulze highlighted the importance of private investment and other forms of financing.
